About the Role
A Full-Time Project Estimator is needed to sell and estimate concrete cutting, concrete construction, excavation, and demolition services by establishing and maintaining effective contact with potential and existing clients.
The ideal candidate for this position must be well-versed in construction methodologies & procedures and be able to coordinate a team of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The goal of this position will be to build and nourish relationships with customers and ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Develop and identify prospects from existing clients, referrals, and other sources
Establish and maintain frequent contact with clients
Present or arrange presentations for new clients
Manage workflow to meet changing priorities and properly fill out daily paperwork
Prepare estimates and quotes for concrete cutting, concrete construction, and excavation projects
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Build reports to communicate progress on bid submittals, proposals, and sales activities to management
Communicate affectively to clients and customers, as well as our highly skilled operators to determine and define project scopes and objectives
Read blueprints, perform accurate quantity takeoffs, define scopes of the project, and attend job walks and project meetings
Correspond with clients and vendors in coordinating new and ongoing projects
Complete and submit proposals, bid packets, RFIs and change orders
Qualifications:
4+ years of related construction experience (Required)
2+ years of sales experience (Required)
2+ years of concrete estimating experience (Required)
Valid Driver’s License (Required)
Ability to learn new software and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to complete data entry on a PC/tablet
Ability to follow detailed processes
Good working knowledge and language used in relevant markets
Organized and responsible
Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone with different personnel
Be self-motivated and punctual
